Awards

The 2010 Hepatitis B Outstanding Leadership award was presented to Chinese Information and Service Center (CISC), for their dedication and commitment to improving the health and well-being of the API community. CISC has been an active partner of the Coalition for at least four years, if not longer. Since 1972, CISC has been providing critical social and human services to the API community. Recognizing that improving the health and overall well being of the API community is a collaborative effort, they have always remained open and willing to pursue such partnerships.

Together, we've accomplished great things, such as coordinating the API Health Fair in 2006, now an annual event, conducting hepatitis B presentations to both their cultural navigator staff and clients at their Seattle and Kent offices, and most recently, organizing three "Talking Circles" with their Chinese and Vietnamese adult clients.
