Awards

The 2011 Hepatitis B Outstanding Leadership award was presented on May 10th to Xuan Man, for her dedication and commitment to raising awareness about hepatitis B in the Vietnamese community in Tacoma-Pierce County.

Ms. Man is the Refugee Program Coordinator at the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, and has led the Vietnamese Hepatitis B Engagement work since fall 2009.  She has engaged interested community members to convene, meet regularly, and plan educational activities.  We appreciate her tireless efforts to mobilize her own community in her county to take action against hepatitis B.
